My Story

Hello, I’m Jenny Benoit, an artist based in Sandpoint, Idaho. I use acrylic paints and various mediums to create what I am most known for, lifelike detail, blending imagery, and sculpting texture. While I love painting an array of subject matter, I’m currently finding endless inspiration in the stunning nature and feel of the Northwest.

My love for art started when I was a child, and it’s only grown since then. I studied Visual Communication and Studio Art, with a minor in Art History, at the University of California, Davis, where I fell in love with acrylic painting.

I’m passionate about sharing the joy of art with others. I volunteer with the Pend Oreille Arts Council, where I help out at the Joyce Dillon Studio and teach at the art school for adults. I’ve been an art docent for kids for over twenty years and currently work with Kaleidoscope, Sandpoint’s art program for children.

In June 2023, I was honored to be named Artist of the Year by the Pend Oreille Arts Council. I enjoy working on large-scale pieces and love the process of exploring my artistic voice. When I'm not creating my own work, I enjoy taking on commissioned projects. My artwork can be found throughout Sandpoint, across the U.S., and I’m excited to see it gaining attention from collectors in Canada and Europe.

"Every new piece I start is an adventure. I dive in and grow with each painting I create.".
